Richard Taylor began the business in 1976 and it remains a family-run business working throughout Lincolnshire today.

Richard trained and worked for Shellmex/BP for many years working all over Lincolnshire. When he started his own Oil equipment Service business in 1976 he went into partnership with his wife Patricia who helped with the administration.

As the business grew, two more engineers joined, working with Richard.

Sadly, Richard passed away in 2009 but the family rallied round and the company employs 5 fully-qualified engineers with the day to day running covered by Carla and Simon in the office with Patricia taking a more back seat position.

The Engineers

Chief Engineer Andrew Ellerby first trained with us in 1985 and is fully qualified to OFTEC standards. Being a local man he knows the area well and has worked on many thousands of boilers throughout the county.

Andy has more recently been helping with training up our newest member of the team, Charlie, and can sometimes be heard answering the phones to customers.

Roger Newton joined us in 1999 and has considerable experience on many boilers. He is fully qualified to OFTEC standards and knows the regulations inside out.

Daniel Ellerby, nephew of Andrew, was recruited in 2007, learning from the experience of his fellow workers and gaining full OFTEC qualifications. He has also plays an important part in training up new engineers.

Charlie Chapman has now joined the merry band and is rapidly learning the ropes and is already proving to be an asset to the business. He has already passed his OFTEC registration exams.

The four engineers work together, discussing new innovations and problem solving ideas.

The latest addition to the business is the replacement of oil tanks and the various aspects relating to that. This is headed up by our second newest employee, James Benton who has gained his OFTEC registration enabling him to ensure that each and every installation meets current regulations.Oftec
